It’s a brand new blog!

Welcome to JAX does design! As you know if you’ve been a regular DesignTies reader, Victoria has gone AWOL on me – the bum! Well, actually, she’s been dealing with some health problems lately and doesn’t have the time or energy to blog much anymore. We had a few chats about what to do with DT, and we decided together that we would close down DT and I would venture out on my own with a brand new blog. But don’t worry, V hasn’t totally gone away – she’ll be my special feature guest writer now and then :-) And DT won’t go away either, we’re keeping it out there in the blogosphere.

My main focus is still going to be interior design and decorating. But as my header says, JAX does design and food and travel and pets… I’ll be writing about all of those things too :-) Oh, and I’ll be having a giveaway (or two or three) to bribe—I mean, encourage—all our DT readers & followers to come join me over here :-) I’ll be announcing the first one later this week, so come by and see what you can win.

So what can you expect to find here on my new blog? Lots of colour, of course!!

And I’ll definitely be continuing my Lovingetc feature that I introduced last week on DT. There are always so many cool things in every issue of Livingetc, and judging by the feedback I got on my inaugural post, you liked what you saw :-)

Do you remember the Engraved House in my post about the Glebe House Tour? I interviewed the homeowner last week, and have lots of beautiful pictures and interesting anecdotes to share with you. You won’t believe who’s hanging out in the living room!!

Change isn’t easy, but I hope you’ll stick with me through the growing pains as I start up and tweak JAX does design. I’m off to a fun & colourful start with my new blog design, created by the super-talented Katie Lane at DreamUp Studios (Katie also designed our DT blog.)

I’m really excited about having a blog of my own, and I have lots of cool post ideas that I think you’re going to like :-) If you followed me over from DT, thanks for packing your bags and making the move across the blogosphere with me.
