Wood you?

We’ve all seen wood on the floor – what do you think of wood on the ceiling?

I love the look of a wood ceiling. It gives a room a real feel of warmth, and it’s way more interesting than plain white drywall.

What do you think?

  1. I really like it as long as there are beams, moldings. or something to break it up, otherwise it looks like a floor on the ceiling.

  2. I absolutely would have a wood ceiling! If we were building, there is no question -- we'd have some wood ceilings. I don't like wood on the walls so much and don't like wood walls plus wood ceilings. Just wood on the ceiling. And I like a nice clean look: tongue and groove or planks but without the beams ideally.
For Guess Who's Coming to Dinner the place we went to had wood ceilings in their family room -- wow! Nicest feature of the whole house.
    See I would :)

  4. yes I wood,........... as long as the size of the room can handle it. I think it warms a room up wonderfully.

  5. Kelly, years ago if I saw a wood ceiling I wanted to instantly paint it white! Now I've come to appreciate the warmth and beauty it offers a room not to mention a focal point. My main rule for wood ceilings though is a room has to have lots of height and light, if not then I feel it darkens a space to much. You will definitely see this look in my next home!

  8. I love wood on the ceiling as long as the rest of the space can handle it... a wood ceiling and some great beams - that's the look for me!!
