It’s interesting how different groups choose different colours as their colour of the year. Benjamin Moore chose Breath Of Fresh Air for 2014, and AkzoNobel ColourFutures recently unveiled Teal as it’s hot colour for 2014.

Teal isn’t quite blue and it isn’t quite green, but somewhere in between. According to AkzoNobel, teal represents balance as well as sophistication, tranquillity, and versatility.

How do you feel about teal?

I actually like teal. I think what I find, however, is that teal was so overdone in decor for a while. Yet I really do like the colour, but in limited quantities. Like a pop of it somewhere: a chair, one wall, in small accessories, even a ceiling. In fact, while I was searching for different ideas for my backsplash I found a white kitchen with a teal glass backsplash -- loved it.
ReplyDeleteTeal is not a colour I would choose but seeing these pics makes me re think - love that kitchen and love the white doggie too.
ReplyDeleteI've always been attracted to teal. There are so many hues of it and I find they all don't combine well necessarily. I like the clear, jewel tones the best, but I'll take any teal, especially in a bath or in turquoise jewelry!.
