Blurb create-your-own-book giveaway!

Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to have a book published. I still remember the scene in Anne of Green Gables when Anne receives her beautiful leather-bound books and hugs one of them. I really want to have that moment too.

  5. Super giveaway Kelly! Years ago it was nothing for me to write a short story for either one of my own children, a Niece or a Nephew to mark a special occasion. I always used a poetic style (similar to that of Dr. Seuss) and regardless there were no illustrations, the kids always seemed to love them. (I am talking quite a few years ago. Not sure even if I have copies of them.)
Good luck to those who enter .... and get published! -Brenda-

    2. Thanks for the vote of confidence Kelly, but there comes a time in life when you are my age you say to yourself 'that's a project for me that I can do in the old-aged home' as rumour has it they don't let you use glue or even power tools. Winks!

  7. The possibilities are endless..... but I know what type of book it would be in the end. A family picture book with many, many pictures of our wonderful little grandchildren.
Thank you for the chance to win.

  9. How wonderful! Love your description about Anne (with an E)! Years ago I was commissioned to photograph images which were published in a book, but not one I've created and published! I've considered creating a book of our Glass Art creations... but a meaningful endeavour I would love to create is a book of the trip my husband and I took a few years ago with my parents in law, niece, and sister in law to the Czek Republic, Slovakia and Poland. We experienced the joy and the sorrow of visiting my parents in law's birthplaces, retracing my mother in law's steps at Auschwitz and Birkenau, and seeing the beauty of Prague. Win or not, I appreciate your post for helping solidify that decision! ;) Thank you, Kelly!

  10. Like Pam, winning this would be the impetus to make the pictorial book of our family trip two summers ago to the UK. Fingers crossed that my horseshoe is. Back on track. Great giveaway!
