I give, you give, we all give!

It’s the second day of Christmas over at Marcus Design today – click here to see what’s on Nancy’s Christmas list :-)

Speaking of Christmas… will you be finding some fabulous & funky jewelry in your stocking on Christmas morning? If you entered my Me-bijoux giveaway, then you just might! One lucky JAX does design reader has won a beautiful custom-made bracelet & necklace OR bracelet & earring set from the lovely & talented Melanie Roy :-) The random.org elves have done their thing, and they selected…

Lynn Murray!

Lynn entered the giveaway less than an hour and a half before the midnight deadline on Thursday – which goes to show you that it’s never too late to enter a giveaway. Well, unless it’s actually past the deadline ;-) Lynn, I'll get you in touch with Melanie so she can get started creating your jewelry :-)

And speaking of giveaways and prizes… a few weeks ago, I won a giveaway at Sogni e Sorrisi. The prize was Dr. Perricone skin care products worth $150. I selected Cold Plasma, and it just arrived today :-)

I can’t wait to get rid of wrinkles, enlarged pores, dryness, redness, discoloration, uneven skin tone, impurities, and to get some  firmness, smoothness, and radiance! Thanks Connie!

And last but not least, Kinga at Blueloom recently gave JAX does design the Stylish Blogger Award :-) Now I’m supposed to share seven things about me…

1. Even though I’m a klutz, I’ve never broken an arm or leg. However, I HAVE broken my baby toe (more than once), a few ribs, and my head (which explains a lot!).

2. I LOVE Australian accents.

3.  I play the fiddle. Badly! Hahaha! Well, it’s not totally terrible, but I do make a lot of screeching noises ;-)

4. I met my hubby at a bowing alley. I was so excited, I fell down twice. Well, actually, I probably fell down because I’m a klutz. But I WAS pretty excited!

5. I took Russian for a year at CEGEP. My grandpa came to Canada from Russia and my grandma’s parents came from Russia too, so I thought it would be fun to learn how to speak Russian. I’ve forgotten a lot of it, but it’s a phonetic language so I can still read it even though I don’t have any idea what I’m reading! This is the first word we learned – it’s “hello”.

6.  My first big crush was on a guy named Igor. Hehehe! Funny name, but he was cute!

7.  Even though I’m a crappy dancer, I’ve been doing Ottawa Valley Step Dance for six years, and I just started taking Irish Dance lessons this year. Here’s our season-end recital from four years ago…

Now I”m supposed to pass the Stylish Blogger Award along to fantastic bloggers who I’ve recently discovered. This is where I always have trouble – I don’t want to single out a few bloggers, because I think ALL the bloggers I follow are fantastic! So I’m going to put a little twist on the award and pass it along to some fantastic bloggers who I recently met at the Canadian Design Blogger Meetup a few weeks ago:

Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow to see what’s on Day 3 of my 12 Days of Christmas decor list :-)

  7. We all know you are a very talented decorator and blogger, but I would like to see you step dancing, while playing the fiddle, while speaking Aussie...all at the same time. You go girl and congratulations.

  8. Wow, you certainly are a woman of many talents! It must take forever to pen a letter in Russian if a simple *Hello* is that long:) I love step dancing (don't do it myself mind you)but love watching others perform.

  10. Kelly - you make me laugh - not one of those Aussie sayings do I use - they are used, some more than others but maybe more so in distant rural sectors !!! You have chosen such a great and eclectic seven - I love it !!
