Sock Snow People

Some of the dog rescue people that I know got together to make adorable sock snow people to auction off and raise money for a variety of local rescue groups. They’ve been given the name Breenie Babies in honour of a wonderful lady who does the most amazing things to help animals in need.

Please say hello to my three Breenie Babies – from left to right are Jaunty Janna, Seductive Samantha, and Thoughtful Theodore. With a colourful penguin tossed in for good measure :-)

These are a few of the other fun sock snow people that this creative team came up with :-)

There are lots of tutorials online – click each image below to go to the web site and see how these sock snow people were made.

I’m totally making some of these next year!

  2. Wow, so much personality in a little sock doll! They are all adorable. What fun to make. I'll Pin some to remind myself next November or December.

Your mantel looks beautiful. Merry Christmas, Kelly!

  3. Excellent cause! Also, totally cute and full of whimsy. Just think what you could do Kelly with all those novelty Christmas socks that will be marked down after Christmas. ☺ Thanks for sharing them and providing the other links. -Brenda-
P.S: For my Xmas Craft this year, I opted to do faux fur (and lined) bottle bagS which were easy-peasy to do. Purchased two 'body' pillows (from Target) made out of fur faux fabric and took them apart which worked out cheaper than buying fabric off the bolt. Got some suede lacing a Walmart (again more economical than what you'd find elsewhere that came in a selection of colours on a card). With all said; final result was very chic designer bottle bags at very little cost.
