Livin’ on the edge

There’s something about live edge furniture that’s so appealing. It’s almost like having a tree right there in your house, and it gives you the opportunity to really appreciate the beauty of nature. I just love the grains and knots and imperfections in a raw piece of wood. How gorgeous are these walnut pieces…

Live edge dining tables are a great way to enjoy a big slab of natural wood in your home. They look equally fabulous surrounded by earthy elements like stone and more wood…

Another great place to enjoy live edge wood is in the kitchen. Either as a table…

A really rough live edge coffee table gives this  a seating area a rustic, earthy vibe.

A sleeker live edge table fits right into this more funky, retro room.

Love the combination of wood and metal.

And some other applications for live edge wood. Curvy legs give this console a more traditional and refined look.

The live edge wood ledge adds warmth and texture to this modern clean-lined space.

Very cool bathroom with a plaster wall and live edge wood vanity. Pretty cool wall sconces too! With the proper finish, wood will stand up to the inevitable water splashes.

Live edge wood looks great everywhere else in the house – why not the bedroom?! Just be careful about bumping your head in the middle of the night ;-)

  2. Well, being a huge fan of cut wood, I love nearly all of them. As I went through to pick faves there were too many so I'll go with the one I find the most unique: the last one and I'd do that in a minute if I had the funds!
