Some colourful eye candy

William Diamond and Anthony Baratta of Diamond Baratta Design create some of the most over-the-top and colour-packed rooms I’ve seen. Here’s some colourful eye candy for you, starting with a very blue bedroom. Love the subtle plaid effect on the wall.

DB bedroom

I really like the blue & green harlequin fabric on the chairs, as well as the colourful & fun throw cushions on the sofa. The view isn’t too shabby either!

DB coastal room

Speaking of views… what do you think of the ocean mural in this dining room? Would you do something like this in your home? I might.

DB dining room

Is there any colour that ISN’T in this entryway/staircase?! I’m really diggin’ the chandelier. Way too over-the-top for most houses, but this one really fits the space perfectly.

DB entry

And now for something completely different – how’s this for a pretty kitchen? The windows are awesome, and I just love the blue ceiling.

I couldn’t write a post about colour and not include some purple :-)

DB library

Gorgeous window and architectural detailing in this blue living room. Check out the equestrian-inspired fabric on the sofa and chair.

And blue mixed with glam. Looks like a little peek of an orange ceiling.

DB vanity

And speaking of colour, here’s Bohdan Genagra talking about his take colour…

  2. Now that is some punches of color! How are you??? I have been away to long from reading all my favorite blogs! Summer is crazy! I hope you are doing well. I just read your inspiration quote and I love it. I have been deliberating about starting my own photography company and I am just afraid to do it, but after reading that... it makes me really want to do it. If I fail, I fail, but I won't have regrets! So good to "see" you again and thank you!!!

  5. Eye candy indeed! From your first pic to the last; I esp. love that kitchen: sort of old fashioned, and yet so contemporary.

  7. Kelly, I was excited to find your blog simply because my daughter Jacqueline goes by the nickname Jax. She dabbles in design ( she's only 21) and I'm trying to get her to start a blog.

I had a chance to look around a bit and really liked it so I'm your newest follower and I hope you can stop my blog- I'm having a pet portrait give away!
Btw- the kitchen in your post is just breathtaking- love it!

  13. My favourite is definitely the harlequin fabric on those chairs! Love the boldness but also the colour combo. I think I've mentioned before that I have some of the ceilings in my home painted blue ... might have to do that in my new home when I get around to making it my own.
