It was interesting reading the comments on my last post with the turquoise bedroom. Some people loved the mirrored bed, others not so much. So I thought I’d take a look around and see if I could find some more mirrored beds that might help sway those of you who weren’t so into the mirrored bed in that room.
First up, some more takes on the mirrored four poster bed…

The Hooker Mirrored Four Poster Bed. The mirror above the dresser is pretty cool too, and love the cubes.
The Prism Bed designed by Nancy Corzine was inspired by the Chrysler Building in New York City. This is Nancy’s bedroom – the shade of blue of the bedding and headboard is so beautiful.

Another bedroom designed by Nancy. I’m also diggin’ the lucite side table, which are Nancy’s design as well.

I’m pretty sure this is the Prism bed too.

If a four poster bed is too much mirror, how about just a mirrored headboard & foot board? Here’s the Temple Bed from Julian Chichester.
Or this bed from Amy Howard.

Or how about just a headboard?

One more option – a decorative mirror behind the bed.

So, what do you think – Yay or Nay to a mirrored bed?
And speaking of beds… I mentioned last week that I’m a finalist in the HomeSense Shopper Showdown contest. The Bedroom Challenge is on and voting is open. I’d REALLY appreciate all the votes I can get, so if you like my bedroom, please vote for me!

Personally, the mirrored bed is a bit too glam for my taste. However, I do really like the 3rd photo you posted. Perhaps that's because the furnishings surrounding the bed appeal to me more.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I love anything with mirrors. The beds are fabulous, every one of them. I laugh all the time because as a fat (my word) lady I sure do love mirrors. Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteI am neither yay or nay re the mirrored beds but from a cleaning perspective there would be more surfaces to wipe down and smudges to remove and I hate cleaning !!
ReplyDeleteMirrored beds are super-glamorous aren't they? Love the headboard and footboord options!
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome. So glamorous. But it's a no from me. I'd hate to look up and see me looking all bleary-eyed first thing in the morning. Uuuugh!!

At my age, the last thing I want to see, either go to bed or getting out of it is my own reflection. LOL.
ReplyDeletePersonally, the beds are too "grand" for me. I prefer something a little less "in your face". But I do appreciate them in these bedrooms...these designers really worked them!
ReplyDeleteI like the mirrors! Just voted for you too!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the look but reality not for me. However the last one with the decorative
ReplyDeletewhite trim could change my mind.
Great pics!
cheers

i love mirror accent items like a console or side table - the mirror bed is a little much for me!
ReplyDeleteI love the Amy Howard one!! I think the beds are really pretty :) I think you could easily mix one of these beds with more subtle pieces to dampen the 'over glam' look! I am hopping over to vote for you now!!
ReplyDeleteNancy xo
Wow. Can we say, "Over the top"??
ReplyDeleteWould too glitzy sound too critical? I'm afraid they are not my taste, but 'too each their own' as they say. -Brenda-
ReplyDeleteI love how the mirrors reflect the surroundings, adding a changing element of interest.
ReplyDeleteI agree, that's one reason I love mirrored furniture. I also like how it bounces light and sparkles :-)
DeleteLove a little glamour in any room, and these beds definitely do that!! Gorgeous...
